Deborah King

Short biography

King was born in Dorset, growing up on the Sandbacks Peninsula in Poole. She studied at Hornsey School of Art in London. She lived in London in the 1970s and 1980s, moving back to Dorset in 1982. She moved to Cornwall in 1998 and lived there until 2011. She has authored and illustrated a number of books on Cornwall, some with Cornish translations.

Full biography

In Cornwall, King kept a studio on the harbourside in Boscastle. She published two books on Cornwall's culture, ecology, and Celtic links: Kernow, a Land Apart (2002) and Palores (2004).
