Short biography
A painter of landscapes, portraits, and domestic interiors, as well as a teacher and a writer, Carr was born in British Columbia to English parents. She studied in San Francisco and in Britain from 1899-1904, at the Westminster School of Art in London, as well as at Concarneau and Atelier Colarossi. She worked in St Ives under Julius Olsson and Algernon Talmage and at the Herkomer School, Bushey.
