Short biography

An artist, writer, and Cornish revivalist, who married the Cornish revivalist and writer, Henry Jenner in 1877. Jenner was born in Hayle, Cornwall.

Full biography

Jenner undertook training at National Art Training School (now Royal College of Art) and the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Despite her training in art, she became famous for her writing, publishing six novels, three non-fiction works on symbols in Christianity, an account of her travel in Europe in 1882, and a book of poems.

She was involved in establishing the Gorsedh Kernow with her husband in 1928 and became a bard of Gorsedd Cymru in 1904. She took the name Morvoren, meaning 'Sea Maiden'.
