Short biography
A landscape painter, Martin was born in 1951 at St. Dominic, Cornwall, and completed a Diploma in Art and Design at Gloucester College of Art in 1972.
Full biography
She was later a postgraduate at Royal Academy schools. From 1975, she has lived and painted in St. Dominic, with a focus on the discipline of painting out-of-doors. She was made a bard of the Gorsedh Kernow in 1982, taking the bardic name Lywores Nans Tama, meaning 'Painter of the Tamar Valley.
With her husband, James Evans, Martin has collected and rescued from extinction cherry and apple varieties that were once widespread in the Tamar Valley. They wrote two books on the topic.
