Maud Margaret Stawell was an author and traveller. Stawell produced the first of her illustrated 'Motor Tour' books, dedicated to the South-West and entitled Motoring in the West Country in 1910.
Full biography
In her books, she guided and commented in the form of a diary on the natural beauties of Cornwall, much as Celia Fiennes had done in the late seventeenth-century.
