Short biography
Suzanne Lethbridge was a craftworker, poet, and keen photographer. She was the daughter of the writer Mabel Lethbridge.
Full biography
Lethbridge moved with her mother to St Ives in 1946. Mabel Lethbridge provided the abstract painter Sven Berlin and his wife with a cottage and studio and championed Bryan Wynter, a painter who Suzanne would marry in 1949.
Suzanne opened her toy making workshops ‘The Toy Trumpet Workshops’ which initally shared premises with a local undertaker. She moved her business to London and then to Brightlingsea in 1971.
She later married Andrew Murray and lived out the rest of her life in Wivenhoe, Essex
